Firmware

Surwish OS features an automatic firmware updater, it will prompt the user on first boot to update to the latest compatible version.

Surwish OS includes useful shortcuts. Select button is the hotkey

Resume at Boot: Press Select + R3 to save and shut down. Your game resumes on next boot (note: standalone emulators don’t support auto resume).

Users can enable daemons like SMB at boot, great for transferring ROMs without removing the SD card 

The default “RetroArch” tab felt redundant alongside the “Games” section, so we replaced it with a carefully curated “Collection” tab — much more engaging! It features themed game sets based on your play habits and favorites, making it a treat for fans and a more personalized way to explore your library.

FAQ

I updated PortMaster and now my SD card doesn’t work — what should I do?

This issue is caused by PortMaster overwriting core system configs.
Please use our repair pack to restore default settings — it will fix the problem. Don’t update PortMaster manually until we release an official update.
